I went with three friends on a Friday
night. The food was excellent. The waitress was great, service was fine.
I will go back. I had, of all things - liver and onions. The portion
size was great as well. For dessert, banana pudding which could make your
knees buckle, it was so good! |

This was my first time eating here, and I'll definitely be back. The place is much bigger than I expected. (seats 174) I was with a group of 6 and we were seated within minutes of our arrival. We were greeted by a very friendly staff. Since there were six of us, there was quite a variety at our table & I had a chance to sample it all. At our table two ordered the turkey legs & stuffing, two ordered the fried pork chops, one had the meatloaf & I had the fried chicken. Between the six of us we had all of the sides that are available plus an order of the salmon croquettes which are the best I've had outside of my grandma's house! The Co2 in the soda machine is on point by the way. All of the food was ready in about 20-25 minutes which is expected when eating this type of food. Come on people, we all know fresh fried chicken takes at least 20 minutes. Although my chicken took a little longer due to a mix-up by one of the other waitresses (she gave my chicken to somebody else) it was OK because she made up for it with a free order of peach cobbler (to die for). I simply sampled everyones plate while I waited for my chicken. I think I'll try the breakfast next time. They also do a Sunday buffet that I would like to try. Our server recommended that we come later in the afternoon on Sundays to avoid the after church rush. It was good enough to make me write my first yelp review! Bottom line: Service was great. Food was great. Da "Hawg" |

Been here 3 times and service has always been more than
adequate. Food was good; meatloaf , liver & onions, and prawns. Have told
others about it. Good to see security for those who are weak at heart,
although I felt no threat about the neighborhood. Felt more threaten by
receiving a ding in my car door with the parking lines being so close
together, all my cars are bigger than a Honda civic Milton J. |
